The plains of Spain. The romance of France.

First, a winter sojourn in Spain….the austere. Then, a summer visit….the passion. Witnessing the amazing switch of atmosphere between the seasons during these journeys gave birth to my Madrid exhibition called “Invierno en España en Verano” (Winter in Spain in Summer). A celebration of two seasons, two palettes, two sensations. The watercolors Paynes Gray and Oxide of Chromium depicting the cool, vast winter and the Yellow Ochre and Warm Sepia explaining the waves of summer heat show the contrast of the glorious Spanish landscape and architecture.

Off to France, I try capture the sensuality of Paris, specifically lovers in the Luxembourg Gardens, in the indigo blue of the city. Along the Loire Valley, I showcase the pride of private gardens and classic buildings.
