How do you fit a square peg into a round hole? Anything is possible in painting and I am here to show it. I love to take a simple, bold object and fit it into a new arrangement. How is it seen from above, below, cropped, zoomed? How does an umbrella fill up a square? How can I fit a cube into a square? How can I take a concentric object with a center point and paint it to take the viewer into a mandala trance or meditation? How do palms make a geometric pattern? How do fans create negative space? I combine the geometry of the object along with the format of the canvas and extract the shapes, patterns, grids, angles.

Whether natural or man made objects, I see that the forms of simple objects can be arranged and painted in a new way that now ʻjust fitsʼ.
